Bamboo Floorboards
China Procurement’s first sourcing and importation role in 2003 was to obtain bamboo floorboards by importing from China. At that stage bamboo floorboards were very new to the Australian market. The price we negotiated was less than 20% of the retail price in Australia at that time.
Insulation
The Australian Federal Government’s Energy Efficient Homes stimulus package has resulted in a huge demand for roofing insulation. This demand cannot be met from Australian manufacturers.
As a result, China Procurement has been assisting insulation suppliers obtain quality insulation by importing from China, guaranteed to meet Australian Standard AS/NZS 4859.1:2002 + A1:2006.
To ensure compliance to Australian Standards, China Procurement only deals with manufacturers who supply certificates and/or test results issued by International Testing Authorities such as SGS. All documents supplied by these manufacturers are verified by forwarding a copy to the head office of the issuing organisation for authentication.
